Turlock, Calif. – Car crash on Carpenter Road in Turlock leaves one dead, one injured
TURLOCK, California (December 28, 2021) –On the night of Monday, December 20, 2021, a fatal accident occurred along Carpenter Road in the Turlock area, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). At approximately 11:00 p.m., a traffic accident occurred on Monte Vista Avenue and Carpenter Road.

CHP reports that a Chevrolet and a Nissan were involved in the Turlock crash. Chevrolet was heading east on Monte Vista Avenue and Nissan was heading south on Carpenter Road. Nissan’s right front side would have struck the Chevrolet’s left front side.
As a result of the collision, the Chevrolet is said to have overturned several times. The occupants of the Chevrolet were thrown from the vehicle. The driver of the Nissan, a 44-year-old man from Modesto, was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries. The Chevrolet passenger, a 25-year-old woman, was also seriously injured.
The Chevrolet driver died at the scene from his injuries. According to the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office, the deceased was Russell Bennett, 33, of Modesto. The cause of the fatal crash has not yet been determined. Authorities suspect that alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
