The first product available, known as micase traffic accident, was designed to help customers with minor injuries in traffic collisions pursue a case. Its launch coincides with the implementation of major legal reforms.
According to Slater and Gordon, the 2018 Third Party Liability Act introduced a brand new portal for handling low value traffic accident personal injury claims and provided for a mandatory compensation tariff. However, it was affected by delays, as well as the fact that it was not user-friendly and did not cover many injury scenarios.

“Although the government’s kick-start reforms have changed the process and introduced a new portal, this will not translate into a better outcome for customers. Something more radical is needed. So we’ve created an entirely new product to the market that offers a fantastic customer journey, dramatically improved efficiency, and lower costs.
The firm added that micase RTA was designed from the ground up and seeks to meet client needs and provide important advice not available or difficult to access in the Litigant in Personal portal. It uses automated processes to guide applicants from start to finish of their application, providing legal expertise, medical assessment and other services where they want it. During its testing phase, it received feedback from over 18,000 users.
