According to the report, the rupee rebounded nearly 80 levels on Friday to close up 17 paise at 79.82 against the US currency after domestic equities rallied.

“For the first time in history, the rupee has crossed the 80 mark – and is at its lowest against the US dollar,” Gandhi said.
He added that in the near future people will have to pay for having a ‘directionless government’ and the rupee is in shambles.
