GREENSBORO, NC (WGHP) – A pedestrian died in an accident Sunday according to the Greensboro Police Department.
Officers say they responded to the Interstate-40 East and Elm-Eugene Street area at 5:06 a.m. in connection with a “vehicle accident with bodily injury.”
Officers say Shaun Hall, 44, was driving a Toyota Tundra eastbound on I-40 when he hit a pedestrian running in a “northbound direction” on the freeway.
The pedestrian died from his injuries in the accident.
Police were unable to identify the pedestrian at the time of this incident. They are described as a white male in his 40s or 50s.
Once the identification is made, the police say the next of kin will be notified.
The Greensboro Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit assumed responsibility for the investigation.
